Early life
A fantastic dancer, Koena was trained with Mamata Shankar ballet troupe for 12 years and that shows on her dance numbers on the screen. When she became an actress, she never had any godfather to guide her on her path to stardom. She had to make her own decisions.If not an actress, she would have been a designer. She likes to work on her own clothes and make-up.
Fame
She initially gained prominence through winning Gladrags magazine's Mega Model Contest in 2002,Koena’s first break in Bollywood was an item number in Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Road’; the song “Khullam Khulla” became a big craze.She also appeared in a Tamil film Dhool with actor vikram in the title song. Koena played the lead lady in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena.
Plastic Surgery Rumors
Rumors of cosmetic surgery started floating about when she appeared in public with a very shaved off nose[1]. She admitted to having undergone rhinoplasty, stating that she had been pressurized by make up artists[2]
