Deepti Bhatnagar (born September 30 1967) is a well-known Indian model, sex symbol, and television artist from India.


Early life and background

Bhatnagar was born in Meerut and went to a college in Meerut University.

She then moved to Mumbai in 1992 to identify a good ad agency to promote her handicrafts factory in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.


Career


Early career

Bhatnagar was promoting her handicrafts, when she got an opportunity to sign for an ad agency for modeling for the Roopmilan saris’ press ad and after that ad she signed 12 campaigns. She had given up her interest in running the handicraft factory and entered into the professional modelling world.

She won the Eves Weekly Miss India contest in 1990. Soon afterward, she was modelling in Singapore for various international fashion shows. Though she entered there after into Bollywood with number of Hindi films but failed to achieve the star status.But, she is one of the most beautiful girls of indian films.


Movie career

She is best known for her beautiful long black hair and appealing figure. Some of her better known films are Ram Shastra, Pelli Sandadi (in Telugu), Inferno (1997 film) and the Aamir Khan starrer Mann.

She did a controversial English language film - Inferno, for which she was reportedly cast solely for her sex appeal. Deepti was also featured in a condom commercial.


TV career

She presently hosts YATRA, a religious travel guide television show and Musafir Hoon Yaaron, an around the world travel guide television show on STAR Plus. She has visited around 80 countries in the last 6 years for Musafir Hoon Yaaron.

Deepti is still regarded as one of the sexiest female actors, who never made it big.


Personal life

Bhatnagar married her longtime boyfriend Randeep Arya, director Of Musafir hoon Yaroon. They have a son, Shubh, born on July 25 2003. Deepti Bhatnagar and Randeep Arya have become parents of a baby boy for the second time around. They have a five-year-old son Shubh. Bhatnagar gave birth at Breach Candy Hospital on Thursday(8h Jan 2008).Though she had been hoping for a baby girl, the elated mother smiles, “Ultimately, all you want is a healthy baby.” The few-day-old baby has already been named. “His elder brother has decided to call him Shiv,” says Bhatnagar.
