Arthi Agarwal (also Arti Agarwal, Aarti Agarwal; Telugu: ఆర్తి అగర్వాల్; born March 5 in New Jersey, U.S.) is an Indian actress in Tollywood. She was brought up in New Jersey until the age of 14.[1] Sunil Shetty invited her to dance on stage in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA when she was barely 14. Big B who was there too encouraged her father to take her to Bollywood.[citation needed] As a result, she did her first film Paagalpan in Hindi in 2001 but it was not a hit.[2] She then went to Tollywood. She did her first Tollywood movie Nuvvu Naaku Nachav with Telugu actor Venkatesh in 2001, which was more successful.[1]
Arthi’s younger sister Adithi has also joined in films. Adithi acted in Allu Arjun's Gangotri.
Arti Agarwal was married to Ujwal Kumar at Secunderabad on November 22, 2007.
